AMENITIES

All the comforts of home. . . in the forest.

The kitchen contains everything you need for casual dining or cooking a gourmet meal with the provided utensils and common spices.  You can immediately fix a cup of cafe au lait and relax on the deck or in front of the TV.   Don’t want to cook?  While there’s no delivery, the closest pizza place is about 5 minutes away

The Great room has a stone fireplace with wood burning stove insert that can take the chill off a cool autumn night.  And when you’re too hot, the ceiling fan will cool you (and yes, there’s air conditioning for those hot August days.)  Roku TV allows access to Youtube TV and other Roku apps, so you can catch up on those episodes you’ve missed, or view a rarer film on DVD.  There’s even an Amazon Echo in the entertainment area (TV, DVD) for general use.  It  plays music (“Echo, play Switchfoot songs”), can tell you the time or weather, answer your trivia questions, play games, and set timers and alarms.

The master bedroom has a sitting area, an ensuite closet and bathroom with washer/dryer, jetted bathtub/shower, maple vanity with sink, and toilet.  You’ll also find a blow dryer, and iron/ironing board, a clock, and a  Google Home Mini.  The Google device serves as an additional clock  (“Hey Google, time”), alarm (“Hey Google, set an alarm for 8am”), music provider (“Hey Google, play nature sounds”, “Hey Google, play songs by Delirous from Youtube”), and general knowledge source (Hey Google, what’s the capital of Alaska?”).

Two other bathrooms will fill your needs.  The hall bath has a hand-held or stationary shower head and seat, a double vanity, and a toilet. The loft half bath contains a toilet and sink for those night-time calls.

And yes, there’s wifi all over the house and all the linens and towels, toilet paper and soap, and everything else you will need.   Bring only your personal care items and food.

So you can sit outside and enjoy nature, or come inside and relax in the comfort of your forest home away from home.
